Discover Your Dating Persona
King, Warrior, Magician, Lover
According to Carl Jung every person is born with one of four personas and your personality gets added on top of that.
The four personas are King, Warrior, Magician, and Lover. To get a better visual of this draw a circle and divide it into four segments. In the top left put King. In the bottom left put Warrior. In the bottom right put magician. And in the top right put Lover.
Now right above the top of the circle write “Nurturing/Well-Being” and right below the bottom of the circle write “Confidence”. Off to the left of the circle write “Left-Brain” and off to the right write “Right-Brain”.
At the center of the circle put a dot. The dot symbolizes psychological integration as you grow and take on the traits you need from the other personas while still acknowledging the one that comes to you most naturally.
Kings/ Queens
Kings/ Queens are left-brain, organized, orderly, protective/ nurturing over their kingdom or loved ones. Kings like to lead, but not to get their hands dirty with their own orders. They are filled with more nurturing than they are confidence.
They are often good teachers, accountants, administrators, etc. The largest percentage of people fall into this category.
Warriors
Warriors are left-brain, organized, orderly, assertive/ aggressive, action-oriented, goal oriented, and more filled with confidence than nurturing/well-being. Warriors are similar to the King/Queen in that they are orderly and analytical, but they are more driven to action and lack the nurturing aspect of the King/Queen.
These are the soldiers, policemen, survivalist, outdoorsmen, hunters, etc.
Magician
Magicians are right-brain, creative, and have more of a confident nature than nurturing. They are the type of person who may take off of work for a year and travel the world. They tend to be very out-going.
Magicians are the entrepreneurs, may be attracted to acting, singing, or dancing. They combine creativity with action.
This is the rarest persona and usually the most rewarded by society.
Lovers
This is the shy muscian, the poet, the romantic lover. Lovers are right-brain, creative, not prone to jump into action though they may inspire those who do with their stories or writing. They are more full of well-being and nurturing than confidence.
Lovers are similar to the magician in their creativity, but lack the magician’s outgoing and adventurous spirit. Although they lack this confidence they are more nurturing.
Lovers are the story-tellers, comedians, script writers, musician/ song-writers, and poets.
How This Applies To Dating & Relationships
While each persona has a dark-side and may be immature or undeveloped, ideally, you will experience the most chemistry and growth with your opposite.
The opposite of the King is the Magician. The opposite of the Warrior is the Lover. The pairing of opposites will bring balance to business, friendships, and romantic relationships.
Examples: Bill Clinton is a Magician. Hilary is a Warrior. While they are a power couple & may pair well for business there is a lack of nurturing and well-being in the relationship. Hence, Bill is drawn towards women of the Queen persona like Monica Lewinsky, for example. In other words, the nurturing that is lacking must be found elsewhere in this particular case.
Note: With psychological integration Warriors and Magicians can learn to be more nurturing and develop their own sense of well-being just as Kings and Lovers can learn to be more confident and outgoing.
The pairing of a Lover with a Magician may lack organization, goal realization, and orderliness being that they are both right-brain thinkers (orderliness is a left-brain concept). Watch out for conflicts over money, budgeting, and goals that remain unreached or not reached soon enough.

P.S. The closer you come to psychological integration the harder it will be to tell what persona you are for others. You will also get along better with the other personas to a larger extent.
P.P.S. The least compatible pairing is with someone of your same persona. Remember: Opposite personas attract and likes repel each other.
